Baby, I got my River!

My husband and I loved rafting beautiful rivers. When our son became a rafting guide in Moab, we went several times a year to enjoy river trips. We loved Westwater Canyon. Then he moved to Hood River and we learned all kinds of new waters. We rode and hiked breathtaking rivers. Two years and four months before my husband passed away, we got a house just above the Columbia. He came in and sat on our new sofa and looked out on our view of the Columbia and the Oregon mountains and said, “Baby, I got my river!” Happiest I ever saw him. Now I enjoy watching that river and being so grateful for such beauty. He’s there in spirit enjoying it with me.
